This position is responsible for scheduling patient treatments or diagnostic procedures for assigned area. Activities include pre-registration; receiving physician orders, insurance verification, gathering preauthorizations and pre-certifications. Maintains records and produces statistical reports as required. May distribute educational materials to patients and families if needed in assigned department.

The Clinic Technician at Porter Heart & Vascular Center plays a vital role in delivering high-quality cardiovascular care by supporting efficient clinic operations and ensuring an exceptional patient experience. Working closely with cardiologists, nurses, and clinical staff, this position assists with patient intake, prepares patients for diagnostic testing, and helps coordinate care in a fast-paced specialty environment. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, effective communication, compassion, and a team-oriented approach, all of which contribute directly to positive patient outcomes.

This position provides routine patient care to promote patient comfort and contribute to the overall patient plan of care. This position is responsible for on-going patient data collection and documentation in the medical records and provides a variety of unit support functions which contribute to the overall efficient operation of the nursing unit/department.
