This is a non-certified and/or entry level Phlebotomist role. This position is responsible for the collection and receipt of biological specimens, proper entry into the computer system, and preparation of samples for analytical testing and/or distribution of these specimens to the proper analytical area. This includes responsibility for pre and post aspects of analytical testing. This position will also perform specified analytical testing as assigned. This position plans and provides clinical support to patients and staff. Demonstrates clinical expertise of the assigned area. Provides leadership in clinical, financial, and personnel management within the department.   The Women and Infant Services unit at FMH is a 17 bed LDRP unit with a four bay triage, an OR located on the unit and a level 2 NICU nearby. Averaging 80-100 deliveries a month, the L&D team stays busy.
