The Pharmacy Tech Apprentice Program job is a trainee position subject to the terms and conditions of the program, in addition to the job duties listed here. Performs routine duties in packaging, distribution, record keeping of pharmaceutical supplies and sterile product processing including hazardous medications. Consistently demonstrates an ability to assess a situation, consider alternatives, and choose the appropriate course of action. Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate for the patients being served.  

This position functions in a support capacity for automated technology systems related to pharmacy distribution. This includes implementation, monitoring, analysis, troubleshooting and maintenance of the automated dispensing systems and computer software. Serves as the liaison between the pharmacy and nursing with regard to automated distribution systems.
