As part of a rural health system, you will have the opportunity to manage aspects of care that might not be possible in larger settings, allowing you to round out your skills and expand your breadth of experience.   The Opportunity: The recently remodeled inpatient unit at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital is staffed by a collegial multidisciplinary team who are highly committed to providing patient-centered care. Alongside a psychiatric nurse practitioner, two psychiatrists, and a team of case managers and social workers, you'll discover a network that fosters professional growth and provides a supportive work environment. As a department, we recognize the importance of extended time spent with patients needed to build trusting relationships and increase patient outcomes. We practice weekly case staffing collaborations with community partners, which allow us to utilize resources in our community to provide the highest level of care. - Compensation:Starting at a base of $141,000, compensation can be further adjusted based on experience. Additional call pay. $40k sign-on bonus. - Benefits: Comprehensive medical, vision and denta. Generous ATO. 401k. - Schedule: 40 hours, 5 days a week. On call 6 days/month with compensation. - Patients: 20-bed unit, average of 6-10 patients per day per provider, adult only. This position will be responsible for managing an assortment of controlled substances and ensuring that they are being dosed appropriately and used safely. Tackle new challenges as you sort through complex healthcare and provide a full range of patient services. As part of a rural health system, this will be an opportunity to independently manage aspects of care that might not be possible in larger settings, allowing you to round out your skills and expand your breadth of experience.   Our Pain Treatment Clinic provides the latest outpatient treatments for various pain-related symptoms. Our newly renovated outpatient procedure suite has state-of-the-art equipment which allows us to treat a full range of patients who suffer from cancer-related pain to complex regional pain and anything in between. As part of a larger health system, we benefit from hospital resources and services, including fluoroscopically guided injections, neurostimulation implantation technologies, and referrals to physical therapy and surgical and behavioral health services   Our Controlled Substance Clinic is responsible for managing our organization’s controlled substance policy and procedures and monitoring patients who are prescribed a controlled substance. This position will serve as the clinic’s expert on up-to-date prescribing policies and work with physicians to help mange this unique patient population.   - Compensation: Starting at a base of $133,328, compensation can be further adjusted based on experience. In this role, you will not only have the privilege of serving the Fairbanks community but also extending your expertise to the diverse and medically underserved regions of interior and northern Alaska. With a substantial demand for dermatologists in our area, your schedule will be bustling right from the start.
