The position is primarily accountable for performing initial clinical appropriateness reviews of requests for services that require prior authorization, initial, concurrent and/or retrospective review The review process is performed in accordance with established patient (health plan) protocols/guidelines, benefits, and clinical appropriateness criteria (clinical screening criteria). This position works with clinical and non-clinical staff as part of the referral and/or authorization process. ACS surgeons will practice true broad-based emergency general surgery, including pediatrics, GI, thoracic, and major trauma. This opportunity allows you to perform a wide range of cases, including large ones, but still be able to sign out of the service when you’re not working. The facility is large enough to support you with a robust blood bank and 24/7 support services but maintains the personality of a small, closely-knit rural hospital. This position provides basic to intermediate operator and mechanical maintenance services. Operates, repairs, and maintains stationary equipment including boilers, generators, refrigeration, etc. for the FHP hospital system. Ensures that equipment is operating safely and within established limits. Conducts monitoring and failure analysis of meters, gauges and controls to determine the need for repair or replacement of parts. Performs preventative maintenance and documents completed procedures.
