With approximately 1,000 births annually, FMH serves as the only community hospital for more than 350 miles, providing crucial support to Alaska residents including Alaska Native communities and nearby military installations. This role involves close collaboration with local obstetricians to ensure consistent, experienced care for every expectant mother who enters our facility. Our women and infant services unit offers a centralized location for maternal and newborn care, featuring a triage room that we plan to convert to an OB ED, a fully equipped operating suite for Cesarean deliveries and additional capacity in the hospital’s 7 room OR down the hall.  Additionally, our Level II NICU is staffed by skilled pediatric hospitalists and nurses trained in neonatal intensive care, ensuring comprehensive support for infants in need of specialized medical attention. - Compensation: $3,200 per 24hr shift. $65k sign-on bonus. - Benefits: Full employee benefits, medical, vision, dental, 401k. - Schedule: 96 shifts per year (8 shifts/month). - Partners: Exceptional in-house anesthesia, adult and pediatric hospitalists, and psychiatric teams.
