Assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and documents nursing care of patients in a non-acute environment. Performs interrogation and transtelephonic monitoring of pacemakers and defibrillators. Performs device testing and stimulation to ensure proper functionality. Notifies the provider of abnormalities in device function, patient compliance issues, arrhythmia, and may make recommendations about additions and changes to medication regiments or device programming.
