When you picture an Emergency Department in the Interior of Alaska, it might not be what you think. The Fairbanks Memorial Hospital Emergency Services Department is a state of the art 27 bed facility that is the only designated Trauma Center within 350 miles, but what makes this department great is the team of adventurous nurses who put people first, every day, even in subzero temperatures.
This position is responsible for providing patient care and assists health care providers in performing assigned patient procedures within scope of training. Position receives general supervision from RN, APN, PA, or Physician in providing patient care.

Full-time, nights, 12 hour shifts, weekend and holiday coverage required.
Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards. Provides all customers of Foundation Health with an excellent service experience by consistently demonstrating our core and leader behaviors each and every day.

High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in state of practice, or Emergency Medical Technician–Basic (EMT-B) with state licensure or National registry certification is required for new hires. Current incumbents must obtain certification by December 31, 2016. Requires Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Position requires basic computer skills, effective communication (written and verbal) skills, and problem solving ability.
Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
