Start Your Healthcare Career with Us!

Ready to make a difference in the lives of others? Foundation Health Partners (FHP) is looking for caring, motivated people who want to become inpatient Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs).

Through our Inpatient CNA Sponsorship Program, we'll help you get the training you need while welcoming you into a team that values compassion, teamwork, and great patient care.

Your success matters to us. That's why our program gives you time to focus on school before you begin regular work on the hospital floor.

Where You'll Work

Sponsorship openings are available on two inpatient units at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital:

  • Medical (2S)
  • Medical/Surgical (3W)

As part of the selection process, applicants will shadow in a unit to learn about the work and meet the teams. Department leaders will work together to decide final placements.

What to Expect

Our program helps you move from student to healthcare professional, one step at a time.

  • Before Classes: Hired as PRN. Complete hiring, onboarding, and required background checks.
  • First Half of Training: Focus on school! No regular hospital shifts are required. You can join paid staff meetings, trainings, and team activities when your schedule allows.
  • Second Half of Training: Begin paid hospital orientation and limited work shifts that fit your classes.
  • After Training: Work as a Patient Care Tech on an inpatient unit.
  • After Certification: Move toward a CNA position on your assigned unit once you meet all program and job requirements, and a position is available.

Work Schedule: Paid work hours will vary during training. We do not require or guarantee a set number of weekly work hours during the first half of the program.

What We Ask of You

  • Attend classes and make steady progress in your CNA training.
  • Complete all required classes, hands-on training, and certification steps.
  • Meet with your manager and educator for paid check-ins to talk about your progress and any concerns.
  • Speak up when you need help or have questions.
  • Attend assigned work shifts and orientation during the second half of training.
  • Treat patients, families, and coworkers with kindness, honesty, and respect.

Grow With Us

At FHP, we believe great care starts with great people. You'll have a team to guide you, help you learn, and cheer you on as you work toward becoming a CNA.
