Overview

This position plans, organizes, implements, and evaluates developmental/educational programs for the assigned sites to meet the emotional, physical, intellectual, and social needs of the individual children and their families. This position is responsible for maintaining the monthly schedule of child enrollment and the daily staff schedules at assigned sites.

 

Pay & Benefits:

Responsibilities

  1. Monitors the planning and implementation of the developmental/educational programs in the individual classrooms by ensuring that staff has required materials and by reviewing weekly lesson plans.
  1. Provides leadership and guidance to staff to ensure a high standard of quality care and high employee morale as evidenced by satisfactory annual employee surveys.
  1. Acts as a resource for parent/child/staff concerns. Knows the social service, health, and education resources of the community and appropriately refers parents and staff to them.
  1. Remains current in trends and developments in Early Childhood Education and Development, and completes training hours required by the state licensing agency.
  1. Assumes responsibility for the total operation of Child Dev Center in the absence of the Manager. 

Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards. Provides all customers of Foundation Health with an excellent service experience by consistently demonstrating our core and leader behaviors each and every day.

Qualifications

A.A. degree in appropriate area.

 

Two years of supervisory experience in a child care center.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
