Foundation Health Partners 1st Care, a walk-in medical clinic, is seeking an advanced practice provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join their highly experienced and growing team.
The Opportunity:
FHP 1st Care is a hospital based walk in clinic located inside Fairbanks Memorial Hospital that provides same day care for a wide range of conditions, including orthopedic injuries, minor trauma, acute illnesses, chronic condition flare ups, and pediatric concerns. The clinic is a well established walk in care option for patients in the Fairbanks community and across Interior Alaska, and providers manage a broad scope of cases similar to an urgent care setting. With on site laboratory and imaging services, providers are able to evaluate and treat patients efficiently while coordinating care within the broader Foundation Health Partners system. This role offers a fast paced clinical environment with a diverse patient population and close collaboration with primary care and specialty providers throughout the community.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be approved to practice by the State Joint Board on the Regulation of Physician's Assistants. NCCPA certification required. Exhibits an exemplary professional demeanor and interpersonal relationship skills.
Demonstrates proficiency in computer applications and database management. Must have sufficient experience, confidence, and judgment to function with little outside direction. Ability to maintain CME currency as required to maintain NCCPA certification. Requires personal DEA license.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Advanced degree preferred. ACLS, PALS, ATLS, and/or Neonatal Resuscitation certifications desirable.
