Overview

This position manages the design, coordination, and evaluation of clinical onboarding and education programs for ambulatory staff across Foundation Health Partners. Ensures new and existing staff are equipped to deliver safe, effective, and patient-centered care through structured orientation, competency assessment, and continuing development opportunities. This position plans, directs, and coordinates activities which ensure a delivery of high quality, cost-effective and customer-friendly services to all patients and providers. Oversees designated project(s) to ensure that goals and objectives of project are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters. In partnership with centralized Quality, Compliance, and Education teams, this position also supports quality improvement and regulatory readiness initiatives within ambulatory services. Collaborates with operational and clinical leaders to ensure training and competency programs are aligned with organizational priorities, fostering a culture of continuous learning, compliance, and professional growth.

Responsibilities

  • Directs and oversees orientation for new clinical staff, ensuring consistency, effectiveness, and alignment with organizational standards.
  • Coordinates competency validation and ongoing education for ambulatory staff, leveraging multiple learning modalities.
  • Partners with centralized Education teams to adapt and deliver curricula that meet workforce needs and support clinical excellence.
  • Collaborates with Quality and Compliance teams to support regulatory readiness and performance improvement activities. Translates regulatory requirements and accreditation standards into practical training and education for staff.
  • Serves as a resource and subject matter expert for managers, providers, and staff regarding clinical education and competency requirementsf.
  • Contributes to the development and implementation of process improvements that advance patient safety and compliance. Provides leadership in developing strategies that strengthen staff engagement, professional growth, and service excellence.
  • Develops and manages project plans, policies, & procedures related clinical ambulatory services, ensuring initiatives are delivered within established timelines and resources. Prepares reports and presentations for leadership on program effectiveness, competency completion, and regulatory readiness.
  • Proactively engages in process improvement. Identifies needs, updates, and improves work processes and methods. Provides opportunities for strategic departmental improvements and communicates suggestions appropriately. Coordinates and participates in special projects as assigned.
  • Uses performance measures, audit findings, and workforce feedback to continuously improve education programs.

 

Qualifications

  • Must possess a strong knowledge as normally obtained through the completion of an associate degree in healthcare of related field.
  • Requires clinical licensure such as Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Licensed Practice Nurse (LPN), or certification applicable to area of practice.
  • Must possess a strong knowledge of clinical operations as normally demonstrated through three (3) or more years of experience. Working knowledge of ancillary and support department responsibilities.
  • Strong skills in presentation, facilitation, and the use of computer technology, with the ability to organize effectively, communicate clearly, take initiative, solve problems, and drive process improvements.
  • Ability to build and sustain positive working relationships with physicians, staff, patients, and families. Knowledge of applicable regulatory and accreditation requirements, combined with strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Prferred Qualifications

  • Professional certification in specialty area preferred. Two (2) or more years in a position with primary responsibility for assessment, evaluation, and delivery of learning programs for adult learners.
  • Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
