Foundation Health Partners (FHP) is looking for Pharmacy Manager to join the Hospital Pharmacy team!
This position is responsible for leading and overseeing the clinical operations of FMH hospital-based Pharmacy Services. Ensures the functions of the department are consistent with applicable policies and procedures. Develops, implements, and monitors clinical pharmacy services, which support patient care areas of the hospital. Collaborates with the integrated healthcare team to provide quality patient care and serves to facilitate representation of clinical pharmacy services with medical staff and other disciplines. Accountable for on-going evaluation and documentation of all components of pharmaceutical care delivered to patients. Manages department staff, as well as department budget. Leads issue resolution management the electronic information system for medication processing. Promotes and demonstrates effective inter-disciplinary and inter-facility collaboration. Develops standards of work performance, orientation and training programs. Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients being served. Adheres to local, state, and federal laws regarding the profession of pharmacy practice.

Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards. Requires current pharmacy licensure in the state of practice, a degree in Pharmacy from an accredited College of Pharmacy. Requires pharmacy licensure in the State of Alaska within 90 days of hire date. Requires a minimum of 5 years progressive experience in pharmaceutical operations, distribution, and/or contracting. Must have at least 1 year of experience with staff management.
Must possess good organizational, problem solving and computer skills. Must possess good written and verbal communication skills for interfacing with all levels of staff, physicians, patients and other contacts. Must be able to use reference tools to evaluate patient care and answer questions posed by customers.
Must have knowledge of computer software, particularly medication management information system software and automated dispensing system.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master's level degree preferred. Board Certification in appropriate area of specialty preferred. Experience in hospital pharmacy with supervisory experience preferred.
Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
