Overview

 

This position supports the daily operations and staffing needs of the unit or department under the direction of the director. Provides clinical support, promotes effective teamwork, and applies critical thinking to support staff and patient care. Acts as a point of contact between team members across disciplines, facilitating communication, education, and problem-solving. Contributes to the quality and consistency of services across the healthcare system. Supports the implementation of policies, procedures, and standards of care, and may assist in various administrative tasks as directed.

 

Pay & Benefits:

  • Compensation: $38.42 - $63.35 hourly wage based on experience and education
  • Retention Bonus: $10,000 Retention Bonus

Tanana Valley Clinic (TVC) has provided state-of-the-art medical services to the Fairbanks Community and Interior Alaska for over 50 years.  TVC is a 60-provider multi-specialty group. Responsibilities

  1. Supports activities related to quality, safety, risk management, and clinical standards. Maintains clinical competence and provides guidance to peers in delivering patient care.
  1. Coordinates, supports and facilitates continuity of care and communication between departments, institutions and across the continuum to ensure positive outcomes of patient care services.
  2. Supports the flow of patients and daily operations of the unit. Encourages collaboration across departments and helps manage resources such as equipment and supplies.
  1. Facilitates communication and care coordination across departments and services to support effective patient transitions and care outcomes.
  1. Participates in evaluation process by giving input.
  1. Contributes to society through activities that lead to excellent patient outcomes through timely, effective, efficient, equitable, and safe care. Actively participates in the improvement of national nursing quality indicators and outcomes. Such activities may include participating in professional organizations.

Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards. Provides all customers of Foundation Health with an excellent service experience by consistently demonstrating our core and leader behaviors each and every day.

Qualifications

Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice, temporary RN license in state of practice, or compact RN licensure for current state of practice. BLS certification is required. Additional certification or continuing education may be required based on area of practice.

 

Relates throughout the interview process the experience, training and education needed to perform the job.

Experience in the clinical area for which he or she is applying is desired. Must maintain clinical performance competencies appropriate to the area in which they work as demonstrated through annual validations.

 

Experience must include working in an acute care setting within the past 12 months as a Registered Nurse in the specialty area.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree preferred. Professional certification preferred. Previous experience in a leadership role preferred.

 

Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
