Overview

This position is responsible for cleaning utensils, dishes, trays, pots, pans and designated areas of the kitchen as required per shift. This position also assists in taking food carts to Denali Center and patient units with the hospital. As a member of the food service team, the dishwasher may be asked to help in other areas of culinary services for additional cleaning assignments that are required to maintain department compliance, health and safety regulations.

    Full-time, 40 hours per week varied shifts

Shift Differentials Available: $2.00/hr. Weekend- $2.50/hr. Evening - $6.00/hr. Night

Responsibilities

  1. Sets up work station, machine assembly, and temperature checks. Washes, rinses, and sanitizes dishes, utensils, trays and other ware. Stores and returns items to the proper location.
  1. Cleans and sanitizes dishes, flatware, trays, pots, pans, cups, glasses, and cooking utensils. Also cleans and sanitizes designated equipment and kitchen areas by disposing of all waste materials. Monitors dish machine temperature to ensure proper operation.
  1. Assists in delivery of loaded food carts to Denali Center and patient floors within the hospital.
  1. Cleans area(s) according to departmental standards, and initials daily cleaning logs. Checks CO2 tanks daily.
  1. Assists others when own assignment is completed, and trains new staff as assigned. 

Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards. Provides all customers of Foundation Health with an excellent service experience by consistently demonstrating our core and leader behaviors each and every day.

Qualifications

This position requires the ability to learn and follow established policy and procedures, read and understand written and verbal instruction, to communicate effectively and to provide customer service.

Must possess current state food worker card. Must be able to learn food handling regulations and pass certification tests as required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
