This position assists in the examination and treatment of patients with bradyarrhythmias and tachyarrhythmias using cardiac device therapy. Performs interrogation and transtelephonic monitoring of pacemakers and defibrillators. Performs device testing and stimulation to ensure proper functionality. Notifies the provider of abnormalities in device function, patient compliance issues, arrhythmia, and may make recommendations about additions and changes to medication regiments or device programming. This position utilizes specialized knowledge, judgment, and skills to provide an excellent patient experience.

Certification from an accredited school such as medical assisting, CNA or in a medical related field, as well as completion of courses in EKG and 12 lead.

An Associate's degree in a relatable science program and completion of courses in EKG and 12 lead.
BLS required.
This position requires clinical knowledge typically achieved with two (2) years of experience or similar work demonstrating proficient cardiac rhythm interpretation and remote defibrillator and pacemaker monitoring. Medical terminology is required. Must demonstrate effective communication skills, human relations skills, analyze data and solve problems.
Completion of a Cardiac Device Educational Program (such as Arrhythmia Technologists Institute or PrepMD) or equivalent education or certification.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Three (3) or more years of relevant experience preferred.
An Associate's degree in a relatable science program preferred.
Certification in Cardiac Rhythm Interpretation, Medical Assisting and or nursing license preferred.
Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
