Foundation Health Partners (FHP) is looking for a Certified Respiratory Therapist to join their team!  

 

The Certified Respiratory Therapist position independently provides respiratory care, pulmonary and cardiology diagnostic testing to patients in a variety of health care settings.

 

Pay & Benefits:

  • Compensation: $31.32 to $48.94 hourly wage based on experience and education

Responsibilities

  1. Performs all basic modalities of respiratory care as prescribed by physicians and/or licensed independent practitioners in accordance with established department/hospital policies and procedures.
  1. Applies and manages mechanical ventilators in collaboration with physicians and/or licensed independent practitioners. Recommends adjustments to improve clinical condition, patient comfort, and to expedite the ventilator weaning process.
  1. Assembles, disassembles, operates, maintains, troubleshoots, cleans and performs adjustments in the applications of durable medical equipment and circuitry used in the delivery of respiratory care as prescribed in accordance with established department/hospital policies and procedures.
  1. Performs pulmonary and cardiology diagnostic testing as prescribed, and in accordance with established department/hospital policies and procedures.
  1. Performs patient assessments, and evaluates patient response to care provided. Makes recommendations to physicians regarding the plan of care, appropriate use of respiratory therapy, and modification of therapy as clinical condition changes. Documents therapy provided in an accurate and complete manner in accordance with established department/hospital policies and procedures.
  1. Communicates and collaborates with resource staff in formulating care plans, making recommendations for changes to therapy, identifying and resolving problems, and refining procedures and techniques when confronted with unfamiliar situations. 

Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards. Provides all customers of Foundation Health with an excellent service experience by consistently demonstrating our core and leader behaviors each and every day.

Qualifications

Associate or technical degree required.

 

Proof of having passed the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) as a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT).

 

A current license in state practiced as required by state law. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required.

 

Must have basic knowledge of clinical techniques, applications and equipment as typically obtained through 6 months of clinical experience. Must possess highly effective human relation skills necessary to interface with patients, families, staff and other healthcare personnel. Foundation Registry and Travel positions require a minimum of one year experience in an acute care hospital setting.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Additional related education and/or experience preferred, including ALS, PALS, PFT, SDS, NPS, NRP, ACCS and/or AE-C.
