Fairbanks Memorial Hospital, a subsidiary of Foundation Health Partners, is searching for a full-time Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our highly experienced Anesthesia team.

 

The Opportunity:

Join Fairbanks Memorial Hospital (FMH) as a CRNA and make a direct impact on the community of Interior Alaska. Enjoy a rare opportunity with a three-week on, two-week off schedule, giving you 20 weeks each year to hunt, fish, hike, and explore all Alaska has to offer. Coupled with a generous salary of $297,920, this position offers both personal and professional fullfilment. Work in a collegial environment with anesthesiologists and CRNAs across a wide range of specialties, including pediatrics, OB/GYN, orthopedics, ENT, vascular, podiatry, general surgery, and plastics. Scheduled for 12-hour shifts, with many days allowing you to leave earlier. Night and weekend call will be shared among 12 CRNAs when fully staffed, ensuring a balanced work-life dynamic. This role offers both professional fulfillment and growth.

  • Compensation: Shift rate is $1,862/12hr shift, 160 shifts per year. $40k sign-on bonus.
  • Patients: 4-5 ORs daily with one additional out-of-OR assignment (OB or GI Procedures)
  • Team: 5 full-time Anesthesiologists and ultimately 12 CRNAs.
  • Schedule: 3 weeks on, 2 weeks off rotation. Our schedule is tailored to embrace a "work hard, play hard" mentality, with condensed work blocks providing ample time off.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must possess knowledge of clinical care and patient treatment as normally obtained through the completion of master’s degree in nursing. Must have completed a graduate program approved by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs.

 

Must be approved to practice as a Certified Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetist (NBCRNA).

 

Must possess a valid current or temporary Alaska RN license.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Doctorate degree preferred.

 

Experience working in an acute care setting within the past 12 months as a CRNA preferred.

 

Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
