Foundation Health Partners (FHP) is seeking a physician assistant to join our highly experienced General Surgery team.

 

The Opportunity:

 

Embark on an exciting adventure to Alaska, taking on a critical role as a General Surgery Physician Assistant in the region's sole community hospital for over 350 miles. Due to our rural nature, our surgeons handle a diverse range of surgical cases; each day promises to be a rewarding challenge, ensuring you keep sharp on your skills. As a member of our team, you can expect to collaborate with our surgeons while engaging in direct patient care through pre-operative evaluations, post-operative clinic visits, coordination of treatment, and prescription management. Join us in this unique healthcare setting, where every day brings a new opportunity to make a lasting impact in our community.   

  • Compensation: Starting at a base of $141,838, your compensation can be further adjusted based on experience. Additional opportunity to increase earnings through productivity. $40k sign-on bonus.
  • Schedule: 40 hours a week. M-F. 7 weeks ATO, 2 weeks CME.
  • Team: Two highly experienced surgeons with mature practices, a dedicated practice manager, and ample reception and scheduling staff.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must be approved to practice by the State Joint Board on the Regulation of Physician's Assistants. NCCPA certification required. Exhibits an exemplary professional demeanor and interpersonal relationship skills.

 

Demonstrates proficiency in computer applications and database management. Must have sufficient experience, confidence, and judgment to function with little outside direction. Ability to maintain CME currency as required to maintain NCCPA certification. Requires personal DEA license.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Advanced degree preferred. Experience in clinical setting including supervision is preferred. ACLS, PALS, ATLS, and/or Neonatal Resuscitation certifications desirable.
