This position functions in a support capacity in regards to compliance with USP 795/797/800 General Chapter. This includes room monitoring and cleaning, personnel training and testing, and required documentation. The specialist will work closely with the designated USP 795/797/800 pharmacist and pharmacy manager to ensure adherence and compliance with all regulations.

Alaska Pharmacy Technician License Required Prior to Start
Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards. Provides all customers of Foundation Health with an excellent service experience by consistently demonstrating our core and leader behaviors each and every day.
Requires pharmacy technician licensure in the state of Alaska. Pharmacy technician certification required upon hire. Must be a PTCB CPhT in good standing.
Must have completed a PTCB-recognized sterile compounding education/training program and one (1) year of continuous full-time compounded sterile preparation work, or three (3) years of continuous full-time compounded sterile preparation work. Must complete PTCB sterile compounding certification within six (6) months of hire.
Must possess good organizational, problem solving and computer skills. Must demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills, problem solving, and conflict resolution of the pharmacy department. Must have knowledge of computer software, particularly medication management information system software, Microsoft applications, and automated dispensing system.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Prefer three (3) years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician in hospital pharmacy practice. Previous supervisory experience is preferred. Computer software experience preferred.
Preferred PTCB Certified Compounded Sterile Preparation Technician (CSPT) Program.
Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
