Overview

Make your move to Alaska! Experience the midnight sun in the summer, a front-row seat to the northern lights in the winter, and the opportunity to advance your career as you broaden your scope of practice.

Foundation Health Partners is actively recruiting an ambitious Nurse Practitioner to join our teams at both the Pain Clinic and the Controlled Substance Clinic.

The Opportunity:

This position will offer support for two clinics that work interdependently to ensure that patients are being provided with safe and effective pain relief treatments. This position will be responsible for managing an assortment of controlled substances and ensuring that they are being dosed appropriately and used safely. Tackle new challenges as you sort through complex healthcare and provide a full range of patient services. As part of a rural health system, this will be an opportunity to independently manage aspects of care that might not be possible in larger settings, allowing you to round out your skills and expand your breadth of experience.

Our Pain Treatment Clinic provides the latest outpatient treatments for various pain-related symptoms. Our newly renovated outpatient procedure suite has state-of-the-art equipment which allows us to treat a full range of patients who suffer from cancer-related pain to complex regional pain and anything in between. As part of a larger health system, we benefit from hospital resources and services, including fluoroscopically guided injections, neurostimulation implantation technologies, and referrals to physical therapy and surgical and behavioral health services

Our Controlled Substance Clinic is responsible for managing our organization’s controlled substance policy and procedures and monitoring patients who are prescribed a controlled substance. This position will serve as the clinic’s expert on up-to-date prescribing policies and work with physicians to help mange this unique patient population.

  • Compensation:  Starting at a base of $133,328, compensation can be further adjusted based on experience. Additional opportunity to increase earnings through productivity. $40k sign-on bonus.
  • Schedule: M-F 40 hours per week. 7 weeks ATO, 2 weeks CME.
  • Team: This will be an opportunity to manage patients independently with physician oversight as needed for support.
