Responsibilities

  • Daily job duties and expectations
    • Provide individual psychotherapy for patients referred from internal and external providers in the Fairbanks community.
  • Clinical Support
    • Briefly screen new patient referrals and work with registration to schedule
    • Maintain waitlist for openings
    • Identify patient access based on template availability
    • Scheduling/Check-in coverage provided by registration representative
    • Panel management provided by clinical staff
  • Schedule (weekly and daily)
    • Mon-Fri 8:00-4:00
  • Patients per day
    • 7 patients per day

Qualifications

Requires a Master's Degree in social work, counseling, behavioral health, or a related human services field, or educational requirement as mandated by state board in order to obtain licensure in field of specialty.

Requires a Clinical Social Worker License (LCSW). For assignments in an acute care setting, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is also required.

Requires a proficiency level typically achieved with 2 years of experience in a behavioral health setting. Requires ability to work with a diverse population along with interpersonal skills and knowledge required in treating patients in area of assigned specialty.

Must have knowledge of government/community resources such as Medicare, Medicaid, long-term care or any other applicable resources/services. Must demonstrate critical thinking skills, problem-solving abilities, effective communication skills, human relations skills and time management skills. In acute care, must be able to work flexible hours and take rotating call after hours.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
